Train Schematic Screen Passenger Train
View Other Schematics:

  1. This "Passenger Train Schematic" screen provides different schematic options for the car or locomotive. The options are Electrical System, Emergency Exits, Cutaway, Cutaway Color, Normal, and/or Color diagrams. These options are not always available for every car selection. To access this information, click on the appropriate thumbnail on the left. Use the horizontal and vertical scrollbars to view the entire picture diagram.



  2. Zoom in -- To zoom in to a railcar or locomotive, click the "zoom in" button located at the top left of the view schematic screen. Next, click the right-mouse button and draw a square with your mouse around the area that you would like magnified.



  3. Pan -- To pan the view, click on the "pan view" button at the top of the screen. Next, click on the schematic and move the mouse in the direction that you would like to pan the view. The schematic will move with your mouse.

  4. Zoom out -- To zoom out, simply click the "zoom out" button located at the top and click on the schematic. For each click, the view will zoom out one level. Return to the normal view at any time by clicking the "100% View" button.

  5. Print the Schematic -- Selecting the "Print" option will send the displayed schematic to the default printer attached to the local PC.

  6. Law Enforcement Schematics

    OREIS 6.0 contains Law Enforcement Schematics for the Amtrak Amfleet I Coach 21000-21285 series railcar and the Amtrak AEM-7 Electric Locomotive 901-553 series.

    To access these new schematics, select "Passenger Railroads" from the main menu and select "Amtrak" from the carrier list. Select any Amfleet I Coach 21000-21285 from the Railcar tab or the AEM-7 from the Locomotive tab by double-click and the selected diagram will appear. Select "Police Diagram" from the bottom of the screen to view the law enforcement-specific schematics. Click on highlighted sections of the diagram to access detailed views and special instructions (make sure the "Police Info" button is pressed).



    Operation Respond plans to include Law Enforcement Schematics for other carriers, railcars and locomotives in future versions of OREIS.

  7. Amtrak High Speed Train (if available)

    Point and Click Feature -- On the Interior, Exterior or Emergency Exit View of the ACELA schematics, some special features are highlighted.



    To view special and additional information about the ACELA cars and locomotives, click on the "ACELA Info" button. Then click on the highlighted area. The additional information will be displayed in a separate screen.
