OREIS
ORI has developed a software system for emergency responders known as OREISTM. This software tool provides emergency responders with real-time information for dealing with hazardous materials and passenger railroad incidents. OREISTM is currently an interoperable system and integrated with systems like NLETS and RISS. OREISTM is available in English, French or Spanish and is currently deployed in over 56,000 installations throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Northeast Corridor Mapping
ORI completed development of a GIS mapping / imagery application under contract with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to improve the ability of Amtrak, commuter railroads and emergency responders to locate and respond to railroad incidents along the Northeast Corridor (NEC). This software application can identify the location of specific features along the railroad, including signals, mileposts, bridges and stations. The system covers the entirety of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor mainline, which runs approximately 457 route miles from Washington, DC to Boston. This capability was deployed prior to the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.

Washington, DC Mapping Application
ORI has developed a GIS mapping / imagery application for the Washington, DC area under a grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Working closely with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), ORI has developed a program that allows emergency response users to view detailed maps and information about the Washington, DC Metro system, including underground lines and passenger stations. This application will assist in facilitated location and response to incidents occurring on or near the Washington DC Metro. ORI plans to develop similar mapping applications for other mainline rail, highway and maritime transportation corridors in the United States and Canada.
